Twelve 11”x14” original watercolor paintings featuring the birth month flower from each month: Carnation, Iris, Daffodil, Daisy, Lily of the Valley, Rose, Larkspur, Gladioulus, Aster, Marigold, Chrysanthemum and Narcissus.

There is so much beauty to be found everywhere-even in the suffering. The moments of pain and loss and fear change us. So can the moments of joy and beauty. Let’s gently lean into letting the brushstrokes of our lives change us for the better. 💛🌿

🌿Beauty inspires me in a way I don’t understand and can’t fully explain. But there is something there that motivates me to keep going.
Through the last decade of chronic pain, nausea, debilitating fatigue, and deep bouts of depression, I’ve needed a lot of beauty to balance out the bad. And so, I’ve developed the skill of finding beauty everywhere. Even in the ugly. Even in the messy. Even in the mundane. And I realized these moments of pain-and beauty-are not singular snapshots, but moments in motion, brushstrokes, of life that eventually come together to create a piece of art. There is beauty in the brushstrokes of your life, and I hope my art can help you feel that. 💛

I hope you’re having a good 2025 so far. 🌿
I always love an opportunity to slow down, recenter and then move forward again, hopefully with purpose and excitement. This first week of the year has been more about deciding what to take away or simplify than it has been about what to add or do this year. It feels like I have taken a deep breath and am ready to start walking again. I’m excited to paint and share some beautiful things with you. My wish for all of us this year is to find happiness in the small, beautiful things in our lives. They’re there. Let’s look for them together. #beautyinthebrushstrokes 💛🌿

It was a slow year for painting, but who can be mad about a few sunflowers and winter trees? Throw in some progress on the Larkspur from my Calendar Collection and I’d call that a pretty good year.
